内容説明
With their previous work, "Psychology", the authors integrated gender, culture and critical thinking in an introductory text. In "Psychology in Perspective", they respond to teaching in depth rather than breadth. The text reorganizes the traditional material according to the five major perspectives in the field: biological; learning; cognitive; sociocultural and psychodynamic. It offers a presentation of each perspective's strengths, limitations and misuses. While specifically dealing with each perspective, the authors also emphasize the importance of understanding all as part of the "big picture" of human experience. New studies illustrate the various techniques and points of view within this field.
