Description

Bringing together academics and politicians to analyze the state of the Australian party system, this work argues that the party system has survived recent threats including the rise of green parties and independent candidates. However, they show that these threats and the declining status of politics have forced parties to make major changes. Contributors include: Dean Jaensch, Brian Costar, Anthony Albanese, Joan Kirner, Jim Jupp, Clive Bean, Gerald Henderson and Pippa Norris.
