内容説明
Every year archaeological research produces new evidence for the study of Greek colonization. This volume of essays aims to provide an up-to-date survey of these new discoveries, and also to introduce new approaches to handling both the new and old data, pointing out at the same time the gaps and possible future directions for the study of Greek colonization from the archaeological viewpoint. These essays are based on a series of lectures given at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford in the Hilary Term, 1994.
