内容説明
This text contains articles in English and German dealing primarily with important aspects of language and its development in Anglo-Saxon England. It looks at the standardization of Old English in the 10th century, language contact and lexical borrowing, the knowledge and study of grammar, glossography and related disciplines in early England, and the problems a modern lexicographer of Old English has to face. In addition, a number of studies also focus on Anglo-Saxon and medieval English history, stressing what philology can contribute to this field.
