内容説明
This report presents the findings of a survey of the prevalence of psychiatric morbidity among adults living in institutions by type of institution. The survey was carried out between September and December 1993. It is one of a major series of surveys - The OPCS Surveys of Psychiatric Morbidity - commissioned by the Department of Health, the Scottish Home and Health Department and the Welsh Office. Three other surveys look at adults living in private households, homeless people and adults with psychosis. This is the first of three reports on the institutions survey and focuses mainly on the distribution of psychiatric morbidity among residents of institutions which cater for people with mental health problems. More specifically, the report shows the variation in the prevalence of psychiatric morbidity in different sorts of institutions: hospitals, clinics and nursing homes; residential care homes' hostels, group homes and supported accommodation.
