This book provides comprehensive information on the current status of the clinical and laboratory aspects of hemophilia. as relevant to the practising physician and those involved in providing care for hemophiliacs.
The international authorship gives the text world-wide relevance with contributors selected because of established pre-eminence in their specialist fields.
The book is divided into four sections: the basic science chapters provide an update account of the molecular basis of coagulation relevant to the subject and extend to cover in detail the molecular pathology of the hemophilias. Clinical practice outlines the diagnosis of hemophilia and the clinical approach to hemophiliac bleeding according to system, specific sections are then dedicated to treatment and the complications of treatment, and the psycho-social aspects of hemophilia.
