Description and Table of Contents

Description

This book focuses on the interactions between computers and heat transfer science and engineering. It is based on work presented at a Japan-US Science Seminar held in Oiso, Japan, during October 20-25, 1991 and sponsered jointly by the Japan Society for Promotion of Science and the US National Academy of Science and Technology. "Computers and Computing in Heat Transfer Science and Engineering" provides broad coverage of heat transfer phenomena, including forced convection, phase changes, radiative heat transfer, and heat transfer in combustion. It also discusses theoretical, experimental and theoretical/experimental approaches using computers, in addition to addressing future advances in computing.

Table of Contents

  • Numerical analysis of heat transfer phenomena
  • computers in theoretical and experimental heat transfer
  • software and hardware.
