This new edition describes in detail how to take history and perform a physical examination on a patient with chest disease. The significance of both normal and abnormal sounds is discussed and all recent research is noted. The cassette accompanying the book contains examples of lung sounds. The book now includes more information on frequency response of stethoscope and examining the stethoscope for damage added. Sections added include: ausculatory percussion, frequency differences of adult and child breath sounds and poor breath sound with good voice sounds.
