Description
The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 is the first U.K. statute to tackle discrimination against disabled people. It gives the U.K.'s 6.5 million disabled people legally enforceable rights not to be discriminated against by employers, or by the providers of goods, facilities, services or premises. The new provisions are likely to be of immense practical significance to employers and service providers.
