内容説明
This text looks firstly at personal and social education in secondary schools and the political ramifications of education for citizenship. Secondly, it focuses on special needs education, in particular the role of schooling in the development of the autistic child. A study of children as victims of political violence is based on the author's research into the situation in Mozambique in the mid-1990s. A further study of academic stress in higher education includes staff experience of assessment procedures and how lecturers cope with the outcomes of these procedures. Finally, the author attempts to answer the question, "Are universities socially responsible institutions?".
