Description
Based on interviews in a selection of hospitals, this volume investigates the nature of the relationships between managers and doctors, in the context of NHS reforms. Popular accounts emphasize a gulf between the two groups. However, this volume shows that while a concensus has yet to be achieved, both managers and doctors realizme that they have a responsibility to make the reforms work, and to maintain the integrity of the health service.
