Description and Table of Contents

Description

These proceedings review the current state of knowledge of the induction of cancer in humans by internally deposited radionuclides. The topics considered in this seminar will be broadened to include radionuclides other than radium and thorium, such as polonium, plutonium, americium, and strontium. More emphasis will be given to creating a bridge between epidemiology, molecular biology, cancer genetics and low-dose effects. This seminar provides new perspectives for future research in the health effects of internally deposited radionuclides and opens doors for closer international cooperation.
