Description
The course on mitigation of volcanic hazards is part of the training and educational activity of the EC Environment and Climate programme. The course covered volcanic activity and products, geophysical and geochemical monitoring of volcanoes, simulation of volcanic eruptions, case histories of eruptions with emphasis on civil protection aspects, including health aspects of volcanic activity. This volume collects the texts of the lectures given and the abstracts of a part of the papers given by the students, together with a list of participants.
