In Engineering, Construction, and Operations in Space V, researchers examine the planning and development of technologies and expertise for the exploration of space and the full use of robotics both in space and in challenging environments on Earth. More than 200 papers focus on developing the resources of greater Earth - those resources available on Earth, in space between the Earth and Moon, and on the Moon, Mars, and near-earth asteroids. Many topics are covered, including space advocacy, future activities worldwide, and an international space station. In addition, contributors study remote sensing from space siting and constructing extraterrestrial bases characterization, mining, and use of in situ materials of the Moon, Mars, and asteroids astronomy from the lunar surface habitats and controlled ecological life support systems ground support facilities structures, materials, dynamics and controls and more.
