Description
This text emphasizes national public and private EC lobbying. There have been studies of EC networks, of policy-making, sectoral developments and specific cases of decision-making, but not of the lifeblood of national public and private lobbying. This study gives insights into both similarities and differences between the public and private lobbies from all member states except Greece and Luxembourg, plus two non-EC countries (Sweden and Norway) which already appear to anticipate their forthcoming membership. It shows how rapidly the practices of EC lobbying are changing and developing. It also demonstrates that lobbying the Community is increasingly a standard element of management in the 1990s.
