Description and Table of Contents

Description

An examiniation of the relationship between ethnic violence and the different forces and concepts which affect the social, political and administrative context within multiethnic nation-states and among the community of nation-states. This volume aims to assist current policy-makers with proposals and solutions for the resolution of ethnic conflict by constructing a model which can be used comparitively on an international level. The author applies this model to the former Yugoslavia focusing on the lessons to be learnt from this conflict which could prevent similar conflict and aid peaceful reconciliation in war-torn regions.
