Description
Ten years after the publication of "Faith in the City" there is still a grave and fundamental injustice in the Urban Priority Areas. This study draws on social, economic and psychological analysis and the day-to-day experience of individuals, families and communities to paint of picture of poverty in Britain. Throughout, the book interweaves the secular and the religious, providing Christian reflection, examples of pastoral responses to poverty and ways in which local churches have shaped their ministry to local needs. It also explores future questions for church and society.
