内容説明

This text aims to summarize the findings of a major report on the single market programme - its overall effectiveness and ensuing benefits. It is published as a requirement of the European Commission to report to the Internal Market Council on 26 November 1996 on the impact of the single market and forms an integral part of an accompanying series of 39 sectoral background studies, "The Single Market Review 1996". Written in a reader-friendly style, the book assesses what the single market's achievements have been so far and where it is headed, and highlights the potential for further successful integration. Up-to-date facts and figures are included, as in in-depth analysis of all key sectors. In addition, the report was based on case studies by some of Europe's leading economists.
