内容説明
European integration and environmental law are two key elements of the EU, as clearly set out in Article 130 of the EC Treaty. However, there are obvious problems in legislating at the national level as the rules which the national governments must adopt incorporate not only strictly environmental elements but also a variety of related European law policies, such as trade, public health, free movement and subsidiarity. This volume assesses three vital questions: Has the UK been effective in implementing European legislation?; are effective enforcement procedures in place?; to what extent has existing UK law been able to influence the European level of legislation?
