内容説明
Cosmology aims to explore and understand the structure and evolution of the Universe in terms of testable laws of nature. Most cosmologists accept that the Universe evolves. Disagreement begins, however, when the question of the very beginning and end of this evolution is discussed, or even whether there is a beginning and an end at all. This work discusses what researchers currently know about the global properties of the Universe; the progress (if any) in relating cosmology and fundamental theories; what researchers know about the formation of large-scale structure in the Universe and the connection between the origin of galaxies and the formation of large-scale structure.
