内容説明
The increasing development and production of electronics in Singapore and Malaysia typifies the nature of this industry's growth pattern throughout East Asia. Strong, centralized governmental involvement and action played a major role in this growth. Both countries strongly encouraged large-scale multi-national corporations, then used the concurrent technology transfer and capital inputs as a basis for developing their own industries. Both countries also place strong emphasis on societal education, reformation, and training areas. They see these as major and necessary contributing factors to any further development of their electronics industries. Further, these countries are increasingly developing their electronics industries capabilities in the production of more sophisticated, value-added products.
The Singapore and Malaysia Electronics Industry documents the technologies, manufacturing procedures, capabilities, and infrastructure that have made Singapore and Malaysia successful in the electronics industry. It covers major segments of the countries' electronics industry, including semiconductors, packaging, displays, printed circuit boards, and systems. It examines the roles that government, research organizations, educational institutions, and major companies have played in establishing an infrastructure where the industry can flourish, and examines the course and future development of the Singapre and Malaysia electronics industries.
