Description and Table of Contents
Description
These symposium papers aim to generate an overview of the different components involved in the trimolecular interaction, with special emphasis on genetics, structure, function, animal models and treatment of human autoimmune disorders. Immune-specific intervention in autoimmune disorders will require a detailed molecular understanding of the trimolecular interaction between HLA class II molecues, peptide antigens and T-cell receptors.
Table of Contents
- HLA molecules - genes and structures
- antigen processing
- peptide binding
- T-cell recognition
- thymic selection and tolerance
- HLA and disease
- pathogenesis of autoimmune disorders
- towards therapy of autoimmune disorders.
