Description and Table of Contents
Description
This work on liquid-metal coolants fills the void of knowledge concerning heat pipe properties and specifics and also the void of Soviet and Western monographs that would provide a uniform approach to the problem of validating the use of liquid-metal coolants for heat pipes and energetics. It presents applied problems, a complete set of properties of liquid-metal coolants and working fluids for currently employed and prospective power plants.
Table of Contents
- Thermophysical properties of high-temperature liquid alkali- and alkali-earth metal coolants
- thermophysical properties of high-temperature coolants comprised of liquid binary and tertiary systems of alkali- and alkali-earth metals
- selection of liquid-metal coolants for high-temperature heat pipes
- physical limitations on the power transmitted by heat pipes.
