内容説明

Leaking storage tanks have been and continue to be a major concern in groundwater contamination. Such tanks, both below ground and above, store all types of liquids, including gasoline, oil, fuels, process chemicals, and hazardous and toxic materials and wastes. Of all potential sources of groundwater contamination, these may pose the most serious risk to health and to the environment. This volume should help in identifying and assessing problems regarding technical issues, as well as regulatory requirements for storage tank use, replacement and remediation. It should be found useful as an up-to-date reference for concerned engineers, technicians, scientists and contractors. The volume's ten chapters deal with those technologies of greatest concern in this field.
