内容説明

Existential philosophy has encouraged a range of humanistic psychologists and psychotherapists to develop their psychotherapy and counselling methods within an existential framework. This volume opens with an introduction setting out the contribution this approach might make to mental health care and addresses the life problems experienced by many people, even in the midst of relative wealth and material security, which medical approaches can only pathologize. It includes chapters which illustrate examples of client work undertaken in this spirit.
