This is a collection of eight plays, each of which has won the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize. The plays have all been written by women with strong female roles and are concerned with themes ranging from personal relationships to politics and economics. The plays have been treated in a variety of styles from the most contemporary realism to social satire in rhyming couplets.
