Japanese culture and education may be elucidated by reviewing the ways in which Japan has tried to export its own culture. The most striking example can be found in the attempts by Japan to impose its culture upon Korea. This book investigates the generally neglected circumstances related to the theme of Japan's "other", and the effects of this doomed attempt to control another nation.
