内容説明

This text deals with research into the molecular biology and biochemistry of the extracellular matrix of mineralized tissues. Special emphasis is given to aspects of research that ultimately lead to the resolution of diseases afflicting man. This volume presents concepts of bone matrix structure and composition, evaluation of BMP expression and biogenesis, BMP in bone and dentine, angiogenesis and its role in wound healing. A dialogue in presentations and discussions highlights the clinical applications of BMP and composite bone grafts in modern reconstructive, implant and orthopaedic surgery. This book is directed at biochemists and molecular biologists in the area of mineralized tissues such as bone and dentine. It also caters for clinicians in dentistry such as dental implant surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, periodontists and orthodontists.
