Description
This book gives students a broader perspective on the primary issues of financial management. Features: * New to this edition: * Parts are reorganized to coincide with the organization of most corporate finance texts,e.g., working capital topics have been placed after long-term financing and capital budgeting topics. * Within each topic, a "classic" article is reproduced, followed by recent works which either challenge this concept or offer a completely new perspective. Where available, a tutorial reading follows the classic to summarize the central ideas of the piece. One example is the continuing debate over the validity of beta and the recent criticisms regarding CAPM. * Readings are now at a higher level without emphasizing mathematics, in order to appeal to the case, theory and applications courses on the MBA level.
