内容説明

This interactive workbook provides a systematic introduction to the key concepts, fundamental principles, working terminology, and basic applications of magnetic resonance imaging. The workbook covers the principles of magnetism and electromagnetism, nuclear magnetism, excitation and spectroscopy, spatial localization and image formation, vectors and their use in MRI, TI and T2 relaxation mechanisms, pulsing sequences, image contrast, image acquisition, signal to noise ratio, instrumentation and artifacts. The text is enhanced by explanatory line drawings and features exercise questions - with complete answers at the end of the book - for assessing mastery of the material. It contains hands-on exercises to teach radiologic technologists or clinicians with no prior knowledge of magnetic resonance the basic principles of MRI. The book also includes the second edition of the American College of Radiology glossary of magnetic resonance terminology and a list of suggested MRI reading materials for technologists.
