内容説明
This study focuses on the essential questions concerning the future of the European Union. It contains comprehensive, detailed analysis of the relationship between the economic and social dimensions of the EU. A new concept in European discourse, social quality, is introduced for debate. The text covers the fields of economics, law, political science, social policy and sociology, and also contains critical commentaries and syntheses focusing on employment, social protection, social exclusion and provision for older people. It provides a source of reference on current economic and social policies in the EU, and sets an agenda for a debate about the quality of life aspired to by European citizens.
