内容説明

The editors bring together essays that address issues of communication and identity in multicultural contexts to reveal insights into how cultural identity is constructed, maintained, represented and /or negotiated between and within cultures. In so doing, they also provide examples of a broad scope of inquiry into communication, identity and culture. Communication and Identity Across Cultures is divided into three sections, the first and introductory essay provides a brief overview of identity and previews the essays that comprise the book. The second section presents seven perspectives of identity in different cultural contexts. The final section continues a feature introduced in Volume 20 - a dialogue between three scholars about cultural issues surrounding research and identity.
