Description and Table of Contents
Description
This conference proceedings volume emphasizes the technical discussion and assessment of recent achievements of photovoltaic (PV) technologies that have a long-term potential to simultaneously achieve high performance and very low cost. Among the topics covered are those technologies not in production and not expected to enter production soon because additional long-term research, development, and innovation are needed. The 38 oral presentations in 6 sessions touched on criteria for new PV concepts; the roles of government, industry, and universities in developing new concepts; dye-sensitized photochemical cells; single-crystal-like films on low-cost substrates; other innovative concepts; and new materials and device architectures.
