Description and Table of Contents
Description
"Essentials of Musculoskeletal Care" details the 300 most common musculoskeletal conditions seen in practice. This easy-to-use reference is divided into nine sections, as follows: general orthopaedics; shoulder; elbow and forearm; hand and wrist; spine; hip and thigh; knee and lower leg; foot and ankle; and paediatrics. Each section includes an introduction to the most common musculoskeletal conditions with a fully illustrated, step-by-step examination and complete descriptions of each condition. Each section also includes office procedures, such as aspiration and/or injections. For each condition you will find: a definition; common signs and symptoms; findings on physical examination; recommendations for appropriate diagnostic tests; a list of possible differential diagnoses; complications of the condition; treatment options; possible complications of treatment; and red flags.
