Description and Table of Contents
Description
Comprehensive, this 2-volume text covers all injuries to the musculoskeletal system. It explains the basic science underpinning fracture management, rationales for selecting particular techniques and how to perform them. Emphasis is placed on the newest techniques, such as plating, screws and rods, and both internal and external fixation devices. In addition, the most current application of the Ilizarov techniques is described in detail. Coverage includes history, general principles of external and internal fixation, open and closed fracture management, and specific treatments for skeletal injuries. This second edition contains a new chapter on the modern use of closed management. This work can be purchased as part of a three volume set which includes the companion volume "Skeletal Trauma in Children" by N.E. Green.
