内容説明
This is the story of men and woman who have suffered a severe head injury, and their struggle to return to the life they led before the accident. The book follows these young people and their families over a period of a year, and highlights the serious problems and repercussions that head injury can have on family life and relationships. It reveals the lack of adequate help and support from Health and Social Services, and suggests ways in which this dire situation might be improved. Based on a study of 20 families, the story is often told in the words of the young head injured people themselves, and of their mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers. It it useful for all those involved in the planning and provision of services in the community, and should be of interest to anyone who has suffered a head injury, and to their families and friends.
