Description and Table of Contents
Description
This text provides students with knowledge about organizational communication processes and how they have been explored in theory and research. As the title suggests, the first half of the book, "Approaches", considers how issues of organizational communication have been investigated and conceptualized. This section is then used as a basis through which the "Processes" of the second half of the book are investigated. This second section explores research and theory related to specific organizational communication topics including socialization processes, feedback, stress and burnout, conflict, technology, and cultural diversity. This structure provides cross-level coverage of communication processes and helps students to more fully understand the complexities of communication in the organizational context.
