"Activity Analysis and Application: Building Blocks of Treatment, Third Edition" is a tool for the student and clinician, and offers a practical, systematic approach to activity analysis. The book is formatted to enhance the development of the critical thinking skills necessary for identifying, analyzing and adapting activities as treatment modalities in occupational therapy practice. "Uniform Terminology, Third Edition" is used and incorporated throughout the text. It is also included in the student examples. The Activity Analysis Form has been updated as well as the Client-Activity Correlation. There is increased emphasis on teaching the student to proceed from analysis to observable and measurable function as demonstrated by appropriate goal setting and the therapeutic use of the activity which has been analyzed. This book combines theory with immediate application, and the exercises can be used in full or in part. It builds a thinking process and approach in practice that is essential to facilitate in OT students. It also provides resources for both students and instructors to explore for learning and integration of skills.
