Description
This volume integrates database and data warehousing technologies to examine business needs for information. The author looks at how today's corporations use information. He develops a new model for processing all of a company's business information. This model is called the corporation image factory. He then examines how each of the major types of database technologies - data warehouses, data marts, and operational data stores - can be used to meet corporate image needs. He aims to show how these databases work with different types of information systems - from legacy applications to the latest Web applications.
