内容説明

Using simple explanations and numerous illustrations, this book sets out to help horse owners, riders and trainers design effective rations for all types of horse and pony, from riding-school cobs to three-day-event horses. Specially designed feed charts show what and how much to feed all types of horses and ponies including, mountain and moorland breeds, "fizzy horses", fat horses and "poor doers". Using a user-friendly approach, the book explains how to feed horses from understanding the function of the gut to feeding-problem horses. It offers helpful suggestions for dealing with the difficulties that can arise on a day-to-day basis, such as coping with spring grass or a hay shortage.
