Description

In the middle atmosphere and lower ionosphere there are many stratified layers including layers of turbulence, the sodium layer and sporadic-E layers. Workshop VI on Observation and Production of Stratified Layers in the Middle Atmosphere and Lower Ionosphere, established a forum for communication and interaction between researchers and scientists who work in different fields of atmospheric and ionospheric studies. The extensive discussions and quality of papers showed the benefits of interaction and the exchange of ideas to workers in all fields. The proceedings of Symposium 6 - The Middle Atmosphere after MAP, and Workshop VII - The Springtime Antarctic Ozone Depletion are also included in this volume.
