内容説明
This text addresses such questions as: what is design and technology?; what does this new National Curriculum subject contribute to pupils' learning?; and how can teachers plan a programme of activities to ensure continuity and progression for all pupils? It provides responses based on research in the classrooms, studios and workshops where design and technology is being taught. The authors examine the interconnections between children's learning and teacher's practice and raise some fundamental questions about the nature of learning in design and technology. The book is based on the day-to-day experiences of teachers and pupils, and draws out the principles which should inform design and technology in the curriculum. It is intended for all teachers of design and technology in both primary and secondary schools.
