Included are all the important jazz stars of the seventies: Al Jarreau, Carla Bley, McCoy Turner, Mercer Ellington, Benny Goodman, Thad Jones, George Shearing, Toshiko Akiyoshi, Alberta Hunter, Art Blakey, Pat Metheny, Sonny Rollins and others. The author's previous books include "The Encyclopedia of Jazz", "Inside Jazz" and "The Jazz Years".
