内容説明

Half a century after the last attempt, "Rural England" (HMSO, ISBN 0-10-130412-9) was published in October 1995. It is an ambitious document which is divided into four main sections: government and people; working in the countryside; living in the countryside; and a green and pleasant land. The Environment Committee decided to examine in detail certain areas which appeared contentious or were in need of clarification. An integral rural policy is dependent on debate and co-operation for its success and this examination brings together the opinions of a wide variety of interested parties.
