Description
An analysis of how sport has changed the shape of women's bodies and is now refashioning their psychology, with a detailed social history and exploration of motivation and inspiration, media, drugs, stress, prejudices and politics. Basing her research on first -hand interviews with players around the world, the author discusses the issues which sports reports normally omit. Finally, the author looks to the future and asks whether women will change the face of sport. Adrianne Blue was the first sports editor on "City Limits", has been a sports editor on the "Sunday Times" and also writes regularly for the "New Statesman".
