内容説明

Individual and community health matters are seldom out of the headlines, and society increasingly sees the need for better preparation of young people for healthy and balanced lives. Schools are now required to play a major role in health education. Health Education in Schools is a revised and updated book based on the successful 1981 edition, providing a wide survey of the subject. Drawing on the contributors' experience of pastoral care, personal and social education, and family life studies, the book presents a strong case for an integrated, interdisciplinary approach. This new edition also reviews some of the changes in fact, practice and attitude that have occurred in the last five years. Most of the original chapters have been fully revised, and new contributions deal with education for special needs, sex education and health education for the 16-19 age group.
