Description
The papers in this volume focus on the impact of economic fluctuations on mortality, fertility and labour markets in Latin America during the 1980s. An attempt is made to distiguish short-term from long-term influences and effects. Broader policy and institutional factors affecting the continent as a whole are examined as well as demographic consequences of economic changes in individual countries.
