Description and Table of Contents
Description
This volume addresses the progress made in understanding molecular, biologic and immunologic approaches to allergic disease. There are 18 chapters new to this edition, providing information on cytokines and chemokines CD markers, cell surface recepters, and new therapeutics. New classes of biologically active molecules that are integral to the development of allergic inflammation continue to emerge (e.g. chemokines). New knowledge about the role of epithelial cells and the importance of endothelial cells in allergic inflammation are covered in separate chapters.
