内容説明

This book examines the final aims in any treatment of breast cancer. It looks at the chances of achieving these aims, the price to be paid by the patient and the prospects of more effective treatment likely to become available in the foreseeable future. Effective treatment of breast cancer must begin with the recognition of clinical and biological criteria of prognosis in each patient and the likelihood of response to each type of therapy. Unlike the current publications on the topic which are concerned with comparisons of different types of therapy in large groups of patients, this book places the emphasis firmly on the individual patient.
