Description
This text provides a succinct, practical introduction to macroeconomic theory and policy by an experienced and successful author. Compared to other texts, it includes expanded coverage of financial markets and more emphasis on monetary policy (vs. fiscal policy). The text uses the circular flow/loanable funds model to integrate coverage throughout the book. International coverage is also integrated. Basic open economy models are employed and policy discussions recognize that the economy is open to foreign trade and investment.
